Publications

The Clean Water Awareness Campaign provides an education component which assists in addressing Jefferson County’s Permit requirements. Engaging and informative publications listed below have been created to encourage and support behaviors that will improve water quality in Jefferson County:

  • Brochures - These helpful publications summarize what you can do to help reduce stormwater pollution at home, work and play.
  • Flyers - Colorful and easy to understand, these flyers are a perfect way to share some valuable stormwater solutions with your family, friends, and community.
  • Newsletters - This quarterly e-newsletter delivers lively and informative content about stormwater friendly local topics, events and ideas right to your inbox. Email us a request to be added to the distribution list.
  • Posters - These edgy, catchy posters are the flagship publications for the Clean Water Awareness Campaign. The posters address lawn and garden vehicle fluids cooking oil recycling, litter and floatables, runoff reduction, and pet waste issues and provide easy low cost solutions. Jefferson County is required to submit an annual report to the Alabama Department of Environmental Management and the US Environmental Protection Agency to summarize its accomplishments as specified by its Permit.
